This is where the granny flat (small second dwelling) and rooming house strategies apply — Amendment VC253 removed the planning permit for a small second dwelling on a lot of 300m² or more in the RGZ, GRZ and NRZ, and Amendment VC306 raised its size limit from 60m² to 80m² from 15 October 2026, which is what makes the southeast corridor work.
